Paul Weamer is a Fly Fisherman magazine contributing editor and the author or co-author of several fly fishing books. He is a licensed Montana fishing guide, former New York State licensed fishing guide, and he maintains a Yellowstone National Park CUA for shoreline fishing which allows him to guide anglers in the park.  Paul has managed and/or owned fly shops and guide services in New York, Pennsylvania, and Montana, and he’s one of the founders of the Friends of the Upper Delaware River (FUDR).  He's been a production fly tier, contract fly designer for Montana Fly Company, and he’s the creator of the Daiichi Hook model #1230, Weamer's Mayfly Hook.  Paul is a Yellowstone Forever seasonal employee in his role as the Yellowstone Fly Fishing Volunteer Program Coordinator.  He lives in Paradise Valley, Montana with his wife Ruthann and their English Mastiff, Olive.  You can contact Paul through the email link at the bottom of this page.
